Cast and Crew Performance
When coming to artist performances, NTR at his best! Jai Lava Kusa delivers NTR’s career best performance. The triple role done by him will be remembered in his entire career and life. What makes one root for the story is the credibility with which NTR performs, after Temper and Nanakku Prematho this is by far one of his finest works.
If Jai shows the brutality in him, Lava shows class performance and Kusa was supercool. This shows what a fine actor he is. Giving away the story would be like stripping the film of its high point but there are cringe-worthy moments as well.
When coming to heroines, Nivetha Thomas is a pleasure to watch and Raashi Khanna thrills the audience with some dance numbers. Nivetha and Raashi Khanna impress film-goers with their glamour and Kajal Tamannah’s item song is one of the attractions of the movie. Tamannah’s item number Swing Zara will impress the masses. DSP’s music is awesome. The songs too come in at the right time and place.
Director KS Ravindra is famous for his mass making which makes lot of goosebumps moments. He loves to highlight the grey shades in his hero and gives his films a mass title. His stories are most often recycled from yesteryears but the audiences tend to ignore it because of his strength in making. This time it came out with more strength with Kona Venkat and Chakravarty’s script. Jai Lava Kusa aka JLK has a more intense script and a finer finish, packed with the auteur’s punch in dialogues delivering wholesome entertainment.
Box Office Verdict
Tarak’s new avatar’s getting overwhelming response from all over the globe. As per trade analysts, the movie will trash all non Bahubali records in box office. After huge success of Temper, Nanakku Prematho and Janatha Garage, another Blockbuster for the young tiger.
What this film needed desperately was mass and class and this time it gets both. There is no separate comedy track as such but NTR comedy timings were at its best. While, Lava is class, Kusa is mass and Jai is ‘marana mass’. NTR at his best. Go for it.
Jai Lava Kusa Rating: 3.5/5
